What is an SOS Charger?

The SOS Charger is a portable, hand-crank generator designed to charge your cell phone in emergency situations. It also includes an LED for emergency lighting.

How does it work?

Simply plug the unit into your wireless phone's charging port and crank the handle to enjoy 2 to 8 minutes of emergency talk time--enough to call a loved one, emergency service or send a text message. The SOS Charger does not need to be plugged into an outside power source. Also, its built-in LED is a great feature to help you see in an enclosed, dark area. Whether you're looking for a key, or searching through the glove box, the SOS Charger can light your way.

Why do I need one?

Imagine being in a situation where you need your phone, but you are close to running out of battery power, or you've run out completely. You only need a minute to say what you need to say, but you simply don't have the juice necessary to make the call. How much would it be worth to you to make this phone call? Imagine being stuck on the side of the road, with a dead car battery and a dead phone battery.
